Merdeka Fiesta 2026: Unity Run

By purchasing, possessing, or using a ticket for Merdeka Fiesta, all attendees agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions.

1. General

1.1 By purchasing, possessing, or using a ticket for Merdeka Fiesta, all attendees agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions, including all rules, regulations, policies, and instructions issued by the organizing committee.

1.2 The organizing committee reserves the right to amend, modify, or update these Terms & Conditions at any time where necessary for operational, legal, administrative, or safety purposes.

2. Ticketing & Entry

2.1 All tickets are valid for one-time entry only unless otherwise stated.

2.2 Tickets must be purchased exclusively through the official ticketing platforms:

  • Official Merdeka Fiesta Website
  • Ticket2U
  • JomRun

2.3 Tickets obtained through unauthorized channels may be deemed invalid without refund, compensation, or replacement.

2.4 Attendees may be required to present a valid identification document together with proof of purchase upon entry verification.

2.5 The organizing committee reserves the right to deny entry to any attendee unable to provide valid ticket verification or identification where required.

3. Ticket Categories & Pricing

3.1 Early Bird tickets are limited in quantity and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

3.2 Ticket prices are subject to change without prior notice once a ticket category has sold out or a promotional period has ended.

3.3 Influencer promotional discounts are not applicable to Early Bird ticket categories unless otherwise stated by the organizing committee.

3.4 Verified APU student discounts are applicable to all ticket categories, including Early Bird tickets, subject to successful verification.

4. Discounts & Promo Codes

4.1 Only one (1) promotional code or discount may be applied per transaction.

4.2 Promotional discounts, voucher codes, and promo codes cannot be combined, stacked, or used concurrently unless expressly permitted.

4.3 The maximum discount applicable per ticket transaction shall be capped at ten percent (10%).

4.4 APU student discounts are only valid upon verification through an official Asia Pacific University (APU) email domain or other approved verification methods.

4.5 The organizing committee reserves the right to reject, revoke, or invalidate any discount found to have been obtained through false, misleading, fraudulent, or unauthorized means.

5. Refunds, Cancellations & Transfers

5.1 All ticket sales are final.

5.2 Strictly no refunds, cancellations, exchanges, transfers, or cash reimbursements shall be entertained once payment has been successfully processed.

5.3 Tickets may not be resold for commercial gain, unauthorized profit, or at prices exceeding the original purchase value unless expressly authorized by the organizing committee.

5.4 The organizing committee reserves the right to invalidate tickets involved in suspected fraudulent, duplicated, unauthorized, or suspicious transactions.

6. Event Changes & Force Majeure

6.1 The organizing committee reserves the right to modify the event schedule, venue, activities, performances, programme lineup, or event arrangements where necessary.

6.2 In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather conditions, government restrictions, public safety concerns, pandemics, technical failures, natural disasters, or force majeure events, the organizing committee reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, modify, or cancel the event without prior notice.

6.3 The organizing committee shall not be held liable for any indirect losses, travel expenses, accommodation costs, personal expenses, or other consequential damages incurred due to event changes, postponements, or cancellations.

7. Attendee Conduct

7.1 All attendees are expected to behave respectfully, responsibly, and lawfully throughout the event.

7.2 Any form of violence, harassment, discrimination, vandalism, illegal activity, intoxicated misconduct, disruptive behavior, or actions that endanger the safety, comfort, or wellbeing of others may result in immediate removal from the event without refund or compensation.

7.3 The organizing committee reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any attendee deemed to pose a safety, security, operational, or reputational risk.

8. Prohibited Items & Activities

8.1 Prohibited items may include, but are not limited to:

  • Weapons
  • Illegal substances
  • Hazardous or flammable materials
  • Fireworks or explosives
  • Laser devices
  • Dangerous objects
  • Any item deemed unsafe by the organizing committee, venue management, or security personnel

8.2 Unauthorized commercial activities, sales, distributions, solicitations, surveys, fundraising, or promotional activities are strictly prohibited without prior written approval from the organizing committee.

9. Photography & Media Release

9.1 By attending the event, attendees consent to being photographed, recorded, or filmed during the event.

9.2 By attending the event, attendees acknowledge that photography, videography, livestreaming, and media recording may take place in public event areas. Attendees entering such areas may appear in crowd photography or recordings used for promotional, publicity, archival, or marketing purposes.

10. Liability Disclaimer

10.1 Attendees enter and participate in the event at their own risk.

10.2 The organizing committee, partners, sponsors, venue owners, service providers, affiliates, and associated parties shall not be held responsible or liable for any personal injury, illness, loss, theft, damage, accident, delay, inconvenience, or other claims suffered during or in connection with the event, except where required by applicable law.

10.3 The organizing committee shall not be held responsible for any allergic reactions, food poisoning, health complications, or other medical conditions arising from the consumption of food or beverages provided, sold, distributed, or consumed during the event. Attendees are responsible for checking ingredients, dietary suitability, and personal medical requirements before consumption.

10.4 In all circumstances, the maximum liability or compensation payable by the organizing committee for any claim arising out of or in connection with the event shall not exceed the original ticket purchase price paid by the attendee.

11. Organizer Rights

11.1 The organizing committee reserves the right to interpret, enforce, and implement these Terms & Conditions at its sole discretion.

11.2 All decisions made by the organizing committee regarding ticketing, pricing, discounts, commissions, promotions, event operations, safety measures, participation eligibility, and dispute resolution shall be final and binding.

12. Personal Data Protection (PDPA)

12.1 By purchasing a ticket, registering, or participating in Merdeka Fiesta, attendees consent to the collection, use, processing, and storage of their personal data by the organizing committee in accordance with the applicable laws of Malaysia, including the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

12.2 Personal data collected may include, but is not limited to, full name, contact number, email address, identification details, educational institution details, payment information, emergency contact information, and any other information required for registration, verification, operational, safety, marketing, or administrative purposes.

12.3 The organizing committee may use attendees' personal data for:

  • Event registration and ticket verification
  • Communication regarding event updates, schedules, announcements, or emergencies
  • Verification of eligibility for discounts or promotions
  • Safety, security, and operational management
  • Marketing, promotional, and publicity purposes related to current or future events
  • Compliance with legal or regulatory obligations

12.4 The organizing committee may disclose personal data to authorized third parties including ticketing platforms, payment processors, event partners, sponsors, service providers, venue management, security personnel, medical teams, or government authorities where necessary for operational, legal, or safety purposes.

12.5 Reasonable measures will be taken to ensure that personal data is securely stored and protected against unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or loss.

12.6 Attendees have the right to request access to, correction of, or withdrawal of consent regarding their personal data, subject to applicable laws and operational requirements. Such requests may be submitted through the official communication channels of the organizing committee.

12.7 By attending the event, attendees acknowledge and agree that photographs, videos, recordings, or media containing their image or likeness captured during the event may be used in accordance with applicable laws and the provisions stated in Section 9 of these Terms & Conditions.

13. E-Ticketing Policy

13.1 Each e-ticket is unique and valid for one-time entry only.

13.2 E-tickets must not be shared, duplicated, transferred, altered, forged, or distributed to unregistered individuals without authorisation from the organising committee.

13.3 Any copied, tampered, forged, or otherwise invalid e-ticket may result in refusal of entry without refund or compensation.

13.4 The organising committee reserves the right to request identification, proof of purchase, or other verification documents for ticket validation purposes.

13.5 Attendees are responsible for safeguarding their e-ticket and ensuring it is not misused by unauthorised parties.

13.6 In the event of a technical issue preventing ticket scanning, attendees must provide proof of purchase for manual verification.

13.7 The organising committee is not responsible for e-tickets lost due to email delivery failures, spam filtering, or incorrect email addresses provided during registration.

13.8 By accepting and using the e-ticket, attendees agree to comply with all event rules, regulations, and decisions made by the organising committee, which shall be final and binding.

14. Copyright & Intellectual Property

14.1 All event branding, artwork, logos, media, and intellectual property associated with Merdeka Fiesta remain the exclusive property of the organizing committee and may not be reproduced, distributed, modified, published, or used without prior written permission from the organizing committee.
